Kortney Jensen

My name is Kortney Jensen, and I am a Personal Lines Agent at the Kathy Barry Agency, proudly serving individuals and families throughout Effort, Pennsylvania and surrounding communities. I grew up in Swoyersville, PA, and recently made Effort my home, where I’m enjoying getting to know the area and the people who live here.

I am fairly new to the insurance industry, having earned my Personal Lines license in November 2025. Before transitioning into insurance, I worked in the banking industry, where I developed a strong foundation in customer service, financial responsibility, and helping people make informed decisions. That background allows me to approach insurance conversations with clarity, patience, and a focus on what truly matters to each client.

What excites me most about my work is helping families feel confident and informed as they choose coverage to protect their homes, vehicles, and everyday lives. I am passionate about making insurance feel simple, approachable, and easy to understand, so clients never feel overwhelmed or unsure about their decisions.

What I enjoy most about my job is knowing I can help people feel secure about their coverage and supported throughout the process. Even though I’ve lived in my current community for less than a year, I’m committed to building lasting relationships and being a reliable resource for the families I serve.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my daughter, Kinsley. We love exploring new restaurants, taking our dog Gizmo to the park, and enjoying cozy movie nights together.
