There’s something powerful about an organization that was built by the very people it serves. That’s what stood out to us at the Kathy Barry Agency when we learned about the Pennsylvania Mental Health Consumers’ Association. Founded in 1986 by individuals with lived experience of mental illness, PMHCA has spent decades ensuring that recovery isn’t just possible—but expected.

Our team is proud to announce that PMHCA is the newest beneficiary of our Community Cause campaign. Their impact is far-reaching, providing peer-led training, education, and advocacy programs that empower individuals across Pennsylvania to find healing and speak up for themselves and their communities.

PMHCA doesn’t just support people in recovery—they equip them to become leaders, educators, and changemakers. Through efforts to reduce stigma, promote wellness, and build strong peer networks, they’re making mental health support more accessible and more human.

To help further their mission, Kathy Barry Agency will donate $10 to PMHCA for every referral we receive. Whether or not a policy is purchased, each referral helps fund their vital work and makes a real difference in someone’s life.
