Uniting the Community One Meal at a Time

One of our most basic human needs is food – an essential resource required for our survival. Unfortunately, though, not everyone has the resources to obtain the food they need and therefore often those in need are left to suffer from hunger.

In our community, we are fortunate to have the Lord’s Pantry of Downingtown, a non-profit that has been in operation for over 500 years with a mission to provide “food, information, and basic assistance to those in need with respect and compassion.” Through their many pantry programs, they have been able to reach a point where they presently serve about 700 families an eight to nine-day supply of food. Thanks to the community’s support, they have expanded to be able to provide paper products and personal care items as well!
