Yes, so there are a few different types of flood insurance that are available in Pennsylvania. Flood insurance is something that is NOT covered by your homeowner’s insurance, so you have to purchase a separate policy. There are policies that you can get through us, that we use. We broker through FEMA, through the National Flood Insurance Program.
Now, if you’re not in a high-risk flood zone, there are also private flood insurance options that sometimes can be less expensive than the FEMA program. So it’s a good idea to have because, you know, even if you’re not in a high risk flood zone, we do have enough weather events that you can get impacted by a flood. A lot of times, if that’s the case, those private flood options can be less expensive than the FEMA ones and be pretty inexpensive overall.
